As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia in coordination with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, exposed three persons on the fact of misappropriation of state funds by deceit by manufacturing and using forged documents.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, through the coordinated activities with the Kvemo Kartli District Prosecutor's Office, on the fact of unlawful use of other person’s trademark in large quantities, by prior agreement as a group, has been brought to the criminal liability two persons.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out throughout Georgia, the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, during the month of May of 2023, exposed 22 facts of storage, transportation and sale of large amount of excisable goods subject to marking, without excise marks. 31 persons have been brought to the criminal liability, 16 of which were detained.

The Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia is conducting an investigation into possible facts of legalization of illegal income and deliberate evasion of a particularly large amount of tax by the heads of one of the casinos. Crime is envisaged by the Articles 194 and 218 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
