Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, with the support of Liaison officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia in Europol, took part in Europol coordinated operation Shield - a global effort to target trafficking of counterfeit and misused medicines and doping substances.

Delegation of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, led by the head of the Service – Soso Ramishvili, visited Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of the United States of America.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in Adjara region, brought to the criminal liability head of the company, on the fact of deliberate tax evasion committed in particularly large quantities.

As a result of the operative-searching and investigative activities, the employees of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, started criminal prosecution against five persons, one of whom is a former official, on the fact of misappropriation of a large amount of state property by deceit by manufacturing and using forged official documents and neglect of official duty.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in Adjara region, brought to the criminal liability two persons on the fact of carrying out entrepreneurial activities without relevant permit.
