As a result of investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia in coordination with the Kakheti Regional Prosecutor's Office, brought to the criminal liability 4 persons, among them 1 entrepreneurial entity was detained, on the facts of manufacturing and using forged documents, negligence and misappropriation of a large amount of money belonging to the state.

The head of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Soso Ramishvili, along with other senior officials, hosted the director of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the Embassy of the United States of America, Ms. Sarah Rupert.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, 7 persons were brought to criminal liability on the facts of damage of property of the state budget by deception and intentional evasion of taxes in large amount, committed by a group, by manufacturing and using forged documents. 

The head of the Investgation Service - Soso Ramishvili and his deputies, along with the heads other departments, hosted the head of the LEPL Anti-corruption Bureau - Razhden Kuprashvili and his deputies.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out throughout Georgia, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, during the month of April of 2023, exposed 33 facts of storage, transportation and sale of large amount of excisable goods subject to marking, without excise marks and brought to the criminal liability 29 persons, 10 of which were detained.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out within the framework of two criminal cases, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in the month of April of 2023, on the facts of bribe taking, two employees of the Imereti and Samtskhe-Javakheti forestry service of the LEPL “National Forestry Agency” were detained.
