As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with the Kvemo Kartli District Prosecutor's Office, one person was detained based on the court ruling, on the fact of fraudulent misappropriation of a large amount of money belonging to another person.
 

Regarding the case of so-called “call centers” under the investigation of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, taking into consideration the high public interest, the Service explains that, in accordance with the law, based on the relevant motion, the bank accounts of the specific persons involved in the case were seized by the court’s ruling.
 

In accordance with the operational information received in connection with the criminal case, being under investigation of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, investigative activities were conducted in three alleged so called "call centers" and based on the judge's ruling, the specified facilities were searched.
 

In order to establish a healthy lifestyle and promote sports activities at the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia, an autumn championship in mini-football was organized by the administration of the Service.

As a result of close professional collaboration with international liaison officer of the British Embassy to Georgia, representatives of the National Crime Agency (NCA) of the United Kingdom delivered specialized 2-day training to investigators and analysts of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. Topics of the training covered various aspects related to the parallel financial investigations and frozen assets management.
