Delegation of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, led by head of the Service, Mr. Soso Ramishvili, had a working visit in Italy. Within the frames of the visit, Mr. Soso Ramishvili had a meeting with head of Guardia di Finanza of the Republic of Italy, Commanding General Giorgio Toschi. Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Investigation Service and Guardia di Finanza of the Republic of Italy, which envisages mutual cooperation in the field of combating against financial and economic crimes.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained one person on the fact of deceitful attempt of misappropriation of another person’s property.

Deputy Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia Mr. Iga Zaalishvili, met with the delegation of the State Fiscal Service of the Republic of Ukraine. The aim of a meeting was to get acquainted with the activities of the Investigative Service.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with representatives of Revenue Service, exposed five facts of storing and transportation of goods subject to marking, without excise marks.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained three persons on the two facts of selling of forged money.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, imposed criminal liability on 8 entrepreneurs on the fact of preparing and using of the forged payment documents by the group of people, in Kvemo Kartli region.
