Meeting with representatives of Armenian delegation was held at Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Mr. Soso Ramishvili, together with other top level officials of the Service and Deputy Heads of Ministry of Finance Mr. Leri barnabishvili and Lasha Khutsishvili had a meeting with Deputy Chairman of State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Rustam Badasyan and Head of Investigation Division of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Edvard Hovhannisyan.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in cooperation with Anti-Corruption Agency of State Security Service and National Food Agency, exposed two persons on the fact of deceitful misappropriation of another person’s property, with prior agreement, by group of people.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia in coordination with the representatives of Revenue Service, exposed six facts of storing and transportation of especially large quantity of goods subject to marking, without excise marks.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with representatives of Customs Department of Revenue Service of Georgia, exposed one person on the fact of breaching the procedure related to the movement of goods across the customs border of Georgia.

Deputy Heads of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Mr. Vaja Panozishvili and Mr. Vakhtang Paresishvili had a meeting with: assistant legal attaché of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the Embassy of the United States of America – Matthew Boyden, Supervisory Special Agent of Criminal Investigative Division of Transnational Organized Crime - East of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the U.S. Department of Justice – Thayne A. Larson, Investigator of the Office of the Legal Attaché of Embassy of the United States of America - Giorgi Berishvili.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, on the basis of court ruling, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained head of construction company and employee of the Mayor’s office of Khelvachauri municipality on fact of fraudulent misappropriation of large amount of state property, whereas criminal liability was imposed on one person on the fact of producing forged documents.
