Due to the high public interest, Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, explains that, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia during the last month, criminal liability was imposed on 23 entrepreneurs (17 of which are detained and 6 were pleaded guilty without their presence and are wanted), on six facts of manufacturing and using forged tax documents and legalization of illicit income by a group of people.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained one person on the fact of misappropriation of large quantities of another person’s property, using official position.

Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Mr. Soso Ramishvili and the Director of Academy of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Tariel Chulukhadze, awarded interns with the certificates. In the current year, for the first time, Investigation Service had a Paid Internship Program. Interns went through six month theoretical and practical learning courses, from December 4, 2018 to June 4, 2019. Certificates were granted to 22 of the interns that were rated positively. Interns with best ratings, will be employed at Investigation Service.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two persons were exposed on the fact of moving large quantities of movable property across the customs border of Georgia by circumventing customs control, with prior agreement, by a group of people.

Head of Investigation Service, Mr. Soso Ramishvili, together with other high level officials of the Service, met the Chief Commandant of National Police of Poland, Mr. Yaroslav Shimchik and Chief of the Central Police Investigation Bureau Mr. Pawel Poltorzycki.
