As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, carried out in different regions of Georgia, in January, revealed 30 cases of release, storage and transportation of excisable goods without excise stamps. At this stage of the investigation, 15 persons have been detained.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia have identified five facts of illegal entrepreneurial activity.

The representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia took part in the training course "Financial Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence," which was held in Batumi and organized by the Academy of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the Council of Europe, which fully financed the event. Training on qualification raising was conducted by expert-researchers of the Council of Europe.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia have initiated an investigation against two employees of the Center for preliminary technical inspection of cars on the fact of production and sale of forged documents and abuse of power.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of the Investigation Service of The Ministry of Finance exposed three employees and Head of private expertise company on a fact of production and sale of forged official documents.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of the Investigation service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with the representatives of the customs department of the Revenue Service, exposed one person on the fact of breach of procedures related to movement of goods across the border of Georgia.
