Online meeting was held with the Liaison Officer of the Guardia di Finanza of the Republic of Italy (Economic and Financial Police Attaché), Brigadier General - Maurizio Muscara. Issues related to the priority directions of cooperation were discussed at the meeting, on the bases of “Memorandum of Understanding on Mutual Cooperation in the Field of Fight Against Economic and Financial Crimes between the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the Guardia di Finanza of the Republic of Italy” signed on March 9, 2019.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained one person on the fact of selling large amount of forged money.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained three persons on the fact of selling particularly large amount of excisable goods subject to marking without excise marks, as a group.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, through the coordinated activities with the representatives of the Customs Department of the LEPL Revenue Service, brought to criminal liability one person on the fact of attempted smuggling of a particularly large amount of movable property across the customs border of Georgia.  

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained three persons on the fact of smuggling particularly large amount of movable goods across the customs border of Georgia, by prior agreement as a group.

Head of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia - Soso Ramishvili and the Chairman of the Georgian National Competition Agency - Irakli Lekvinadze signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
