Head of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia - Soso Ramishvili and the Chairman of the Georgian National Competition Agency - Irakli Lekvinadze signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The parties agreed to actively collaborate on obtaining information from economic agents and conducting a thorough investigation process, exchanging information between the agencies, providing expert/methodological assistance and developing legislative initiatives, in order to promote a free and healthy competitive environment, prevent and repress competition violations and strengthen competition enforcement policies.
Head of Investigation Service - Soso Ramishvili stated: Execution of Memorandum with
Georgian National Competition Agency will ensure cooperation of our agencies in developing competitive environment. Protecting health business environment is one of the top priorities of the Investigation Service. The Service is ready to not only actively exchange information but also work on developing legal initiatives.
Chairmen of Georgian National Competition Agency - Irakli Lekvinadze stated: It is very important Memorandum, cooperation involves planning joint activities. Cooperation on obtaining and processing information, conducting full investigation in case of breach of competition law, sharing experience and implementing international practice is crucial. We will plan joint activities within the present Memorandum.
The Investigation Service and the National Competition Agency will plan and organize thematic meetings and conferences.
