As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, an entrepreneur and an employee of the state sub-agency Environmental Supervision Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture had been exposed on the facts of transportation of illegally obtained wooden material, production and use of false tax documents and abuse of official powers.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia in coordination with the representatives of Kvemo Kartli Regional Prosecutor's Office, detained two persons on the fact of selling forged money, committed with the prior agreement as a group.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out throughout Georgia, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, during the month of March of 2023, exposed 36 facts of storage, transportation and sale of large amount of excisable goods subject to marking, without excise marks and brought to the criminal liability 39 persons, 18 of which were detained.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia brought to criminal liability two persons on the fact of attempt to misappropriate property of another person by deceit, committed by the group, using the official position, in large quantities, through the manufacturing and using forged tax documents.

On March 30TH, Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia celebrates Professional Day of employees and presents the report of the activities of the previous year. The Minister of Finance of Georgia - Lasha Khutsishvili, opened the event dedicated to this day. He positively assessed last year’s activities of the Service and thanked the staff for the work done.
