As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the fact of manufacturing and sale of products hazardous to human life or health and deception of consumers, committed in large quantities was detected, on which three persons were charged criminal liability.

Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia hosted the delegation of Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which was led by the deputy chairperson of the Agency, Mr. Zhenis Elemesov. At the meeting, the guests were introduced with the activities of the Investigation Service, existing challenges, important changes made in the recent period and the results achieved last year.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, an entrepreneur and an employee of the state sub-agency Environmental Supervision Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture had been exposed on the facts of transportation of illegally obtained wooden material, production and use of false tax documents and abuse of official powers.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out throughout Georgia, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, during the month of March of 2023, exposed 36 facts of storage, transportation and sale of large amount of excisable goods subject to marking, without excise marks and brought to the criminal liability 39 persons, 18 of which were detained.
