Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Mr. Soso Ramishvili, together with Deputy Heads of the Service met with the experts delegated by the EU – Mr. Thomas Vennen and Mr. Antoine Hanin.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia arrested one person on the fact of misappropriation of third person’s ownership by means of deceit.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with representatives of the Revenue Service of Georgia, exposed four facts of storing and transportation of large quantity of products subject to marking, without excise marks.

Representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, detained an employee of JSC "Georgian Railway" on the fact of misappropriation of the property of another person by deceipt, by means of using the official position.

As a result of the operational-searching measures and investigation activities, the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained three persons on the fact of manufacturing and usage of forged tax documents.

As a result of activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia in coordination with the representatives of Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia, exposed two facts of storing and transportation of cigarettes without excise marks.
