As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out throughout Georgia, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, during the month of April of 2025, exposed 21 facts of storage, transportation and sale of large amount of excisable goods subject to marking, without excise marks and brought to the criminal liability 30 persons, 7 of which were detained.
 

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two persons were exposed on the facts of commercial bribery, negligence and manufacturing and selling forged document.
 

Mr. Ioseb Vardzelashvili and Mr. Giorgi Gelashvili have been appointed as deputies of Mr. Irakli Beraia, Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
 

As a result of measures carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with the representatives of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, one person was detained on the fact of storage of excisable goods subject to marking, without excise marks, in particularly large quantities.
