As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained two citizens of Republic of Turkey on the fact of manufacturing and selling false official documents and manufacturing counterfeit excise marks by a group of persons with prior agreement.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, on the fact of misappropriation of state property in large quantities, manufacturing and using false tax documents as a group and damaging the property of the owner by deception in large quantities, with a prior arrangement by a group, had four entrepreneurs accused and brought to the criminal liability, two of which were detained.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained Turkish citizen on the fact of breach of procedures related to movement of particularly large amount of goods across the customs border of Georgia.

Due to the high public interest, regarding the statements of Enzel Mkoyan and the video material released by him during the past days, Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia clarifies, that on the basis of the statement of the citizens, an investigation under the first parts of Articles 180 and 218 of the Criminal Code of Georgia has been initiated against one of the gas companies, operating in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. Crime implies the misappropriation of another's property for the purpose of unlawful appropriation and the deliberate evasion of large amounts of tax.
