As a result of the operative-searching and investigative activities the employees of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia brought to criminal liability 2 business entities and their accountants on the fact of fraudulent misappropriation of a large amount of state funds by an organized group through the production and use of forged documents. 

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, on the fact of fraudulent misappropriation of state-owned land plots, by manufacturing and using forged documents confirming the property rights, abusing official powers, forgery by an official and neglecting official duties, accused and brought to criminal liability 9 persons, two of which were former officials and one was a current official.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, for the purpose of misappropriation, on the fact of attempting to fraudulently appropriate a large amount of money, detained one person.

As a result of investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, initiated criminal prosecution against nine persons, on the facts of illegally obtaining a credit.

Employees of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, with the support of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the Embassy of Switzerland, took part in the simulation training on human trafficking organized by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia. The training – “Combatting Human Trafficking: Sustaining Multi-Agency Collaboration through National Simulation-based Exercise”, was held in Tbilisi on November 7-11.

Today, a meeting with representatives of the Turkish International Academy against Drugs and Organized Crime (TADOC) was held at Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
