As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia have arrested one person on a fact of producing and selling large amount of forged excise stamps.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by Representatives of the Investigation service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia in different districts of Tbilisi, 4 places were exposed where special equipment (so called “sim-box”) was installed for the purpose of illegal convert of international calls into local calls.

Under the mutual project - Container Control Program (CCP) of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and World Customs Organization (WCO) –meeting of Managing Board was held in Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. Main topic of the meeting was discussion of the course of the program, results achieved and current challenges. Meeting was managed by Coordinator of Black Sea Region at UNODC – Dr. Naida Chamilova.
