As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with the Kvemo Kartli District Prosecutor's Office, criminal prosecution was initiated against 5 persons on the fact of large amount of property damage by deceit, through manufacturing and using forged tax documents, committed by a group of persons. 

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out throughout Georgia, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, during the month of September of the current year, exposed 20 facts of storage, transportation and sale of large amount of excisable goods subject to marking, without excise marks and brought to the criminal liability 20 persons, 11 of which were detained.

An annual intra-agency mini-football tournament was held at the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. Teams from all departments of the Agency participated in the tournament.

The purpose of the visit was to share experience about the existing methodology and practice in the analytical direction.

Head of Investigation Service Mr. Soso Ramishvili attended the Closing Conference of The EU funded Technical Assistance Project “Support to Public Administration Reform in Georgia” together with the representatives of the Agency.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, four persons has been exposed on the facts of fraudulent misappropriation of large amount of funds belonging to the state, manufacturing and using forged settlement documents and abuse of official powers.
