As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia have arrested two persons on storing and selling forged money by the group, with prior agreement.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Gardabani and Bolnisi municipalities, representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia have exposed 5 facts of storing, transportation and selling of especially large amount of products without excise, subject to marking. Respectively, criminal liability was imposed on 5 persons.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia have arrested an employee of the Customs Department of the Revenue Service of Georgia, head of the shift of one of the customs checkpoints, on abuse of authority.

As a result of investigational-operative activities carried out, representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia arrested heads of the Financial-Budgetary and Infrastructure Service, as well as Urban Development and Architecture Service of one of the self-government municipalities of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region.

The Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia is actively working on detecting and exposing persons occupied with illegal sales of timber. Representatives of the Investigation Service carried out several important activities in the period of October-November 2017 in Imereti and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia has exposed two persons on breaching the procedure related to the movement of goods across the customs border.
