As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia, three employees of the Revenue Service of Georgia were exposed on fact of abuse of authority.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia have exposed 2 unregistered enterprises in Tbilisi and Gardabani municipality, where large amount of goods were illegally produced under third party’s trademark.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia arrested representative of LEPL National Food Agency of Georgia and head of a slaughter-house functioning in Imereti region on producing and selling forged documents, bribery and abuse of authority.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia, director of non-entrepreneurial non-commercial legal entity of Khoni municipality was arrested.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, five persons were exposed and arrested on three facts of missapropriation of large amount of money.

On September 12 and 13 “WIPO National Workshop on IP Enforcement for Customs and Investigation Service Officials” was held, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the National Intellectual Property Center (Sakpatenti). The event was opened by the Head of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia – Mr. Levan Gamkrelidze and Head of the National Intellectual Property Center (Sakpatenti) Nikoloz Gogilidze.
