Head of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia - Soso Ramishvili, together with his deputies, summarized results of the 2023 year, awarded the employees of the Service with early special ranks and certificates of appreciation for successfully performing official duties and their conscientious work.

The employees of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia traditionally congratulated on coming Christmas and New Year to the residents of St. Giorgi Mtatsmindeli Convent Rehabilitation Center. Employees of the Service visited the children deprived of care and elderly people with special needs of the Centre and brought them New Year's gifts.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with the Kvemo Kartli District Prosecutor's Office, exposed 2 persons on the fact of fraudulent misappropriation of large amount of funds belonging to the state, using official authority.

On December 12-13 of current year, with the support of Europol, within the project EMPACT - European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats, co-hosted by the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the NAS Carabinieri of the Republic of Italy, the conference EMPACT IPCCGC / OPSON XIII on Counterfeit Food and Geographical Indications was held in Tbilisi.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, six persons were accused and brought to the criminal liability, four of whom are entrepreneurs, and two - accountants of the company, on the facts of fraudulent misappropriation of large amount of money belonging to the state by an organized group, by manufacturing and using forged documents.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, the employees of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, exposed 4 persons on the fact of damaging the state budget by deceit by manufacturing and using forged tax documents, as a group, 2 of whom have been arrested.
