As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with the representatives of the Customs Department of the Revenue Service, exposed two facts of importing particularly large amount of goods through the customs border of Georgia, in violation of customs regulations. Criminal prosecution was initiated against two persons, one of whom has been detained.
 

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, five persons were detained on the fact of fraudulent misappropriation of a large amount of funds belonging to citizens by the organized group.
 

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with the Kvemo Kartli District Prosecutor's Office, one person was detained based on the court ruling, on the fact of fraudulent misappropriation of a large amount of money belonging to another person.
 

Regarding the case of so-called “call centers” under the investigation of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, taking into consideration the high public interest, the Service explains that, in accordance with the law, based on the relevant motion, the bank accounts of the specific persons involved in the case were seized by the court’s ruling.
