As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia, one person was exposed on the fact of bribery.

Investigation has determined that the head of the department of maintenance of forest area, planning and implementation of special and care cutting at non-commercial legal entity “rustavservice centre” of Rustavi Municipality City Hall, in order to receive illegal income, took GEL 1200 from a citizen in return for allowing illegal cutting of walnut trees on the territory of Rustavi park.

Investigation is underway under the third part of Article 221 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 2 to 4 years.
