The Deputy Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia Mr. Iga Zaalishvili met with Ms. Nina Yuzhanina, the Head of the Committee on Tax and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The aim of the meeting was to introduce the Ukrainian side to the nature of the work and implemented reforms of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. The Deputy Head of the Service, Mr. Iga Zaalishvili presented to the Ukrainian representative the priority directions of the Service, and provided her with the information on implemented reforms and structural reorganization, performed lately in the Service for enhancing efficiency of its activities.

As the Head of the Committee on Tax and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada stated at the meeting, the reforms related to field of anti-corruption and fight against financial-economic crimes are being implemented in Ukraine and from this perspective, it is especially important for the Ukrainian side to share the experience of Georgia.

Within the frame of the meeting, the representative of Investigation Service made a presentation for the Ukrainian guests related to the legal grounds of the activities of the Service, its organizational structure, authorities and the policy of human resource management.

The parties agreed that the mutual cooperation for the purpose of sharing experience will continue in the future.

The meeting was attended by the Head of Administration of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the Deputy Head of the Investigation Department and the President of the Taxpayers Association of Ukraine.
