During the November 08-12 of current year, head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia - Soso Ramishvili, with the support of the Police Attaché of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Mezvrishvili, led a visit of Investigation Service delegation in the capital of the Republic of Turkey – Ankara. Meeting was also attended by deputy heads of Investigation Service Vaja Panozishvili and Vakhtang Paresishvili and head of Investigation Department Levan Dzneladze. During the visit, meetings were held between the heads of National Police Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department (KOM), Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the republic of Turkey and Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. Cooperation with the colleague agency of a state, being neighboring country and of one of the main trading partners - is especially important for Investigation Service. Therefore, within the framework of the abovementioned meetings, specific topical issues were discussed and priority directions were identified in order to promote closer professional cooperation in the future. According to the head of Investigation Service - Soso Ramishvili, this visit will definitely be the beginning of useful professional cooperation between the agencies, which will ensure the effectiveness of the fight against crimes committed in the financial-economic field due to their transnational nature.
