On December 30 of the current year, an introductory online meeting was held between the heads of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. The meeting was chaired by Soso Ramishvili, Head of the Investigation Service and Vadim Melnik, Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.

The parties discussed specific areas of fighting against financial-economic crimes, which are currently very relevant for the colleague law enforcement agencies of the both countries. At the request of the Ukrainian side, they were provided with detailed information on the legal acts regulating the activities of Investigation Service, as well as other specific features.

During the meeting, the possible directions of future professional cooperation were also discussed. It was agreed to continue working meetings intensively between the two agencies in the similar format - with the involvement of various units having relevant competencies.

The meeting was also attended by other senior officials from the colleague agencies.
