As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained one person on the fact of selling a large amount of forged money.

The investigation revealed that the accused person has sold counterfeit 50 US Dollar bills in Tbilisi. As a result of investigative activities 16 550 forged US Dollar banknotes were seized. 

The investigation is underway under the second part of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages the imprisonment from 7 to 10 years.
