SELLING FORGED MONEY

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained Turkish citizen on the fact of selling forged money.

Investigation revealed that the accused person has sold 21 (twenty one) units of forged 100 US Dollar banknotes in Tbilisi. Total amount of forged banknotes, seized as a result of investigative activities estimates 2 100 US Dollars.

Investigation is underway under the first part of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 7 years.
