As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, one person has been detained on the fact of selling forged money.

Investigation determined that the accused person, in order to receive illegal material benefit, sold forged USD 100 bills in the amount of USD 3 700 in Tbilisi.

As a result of investigative activities, all the counterfeited bills were seized.

Investigation is underway under the second part of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 7 to 10 years.
