On March 30TH, Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia celebrates Professional Day of employees and presents the report of the activities of the previous year. The Minister of Finance of Georgia - Lasha Khutsishvili, opened the event dedicated to this day. He positively assessed last year’s activities of the Service and thanked the staff for the work done.
During his speech, the minister emphasized on the achievements of the Investigation Service, the role of the Service in terms of prevention, detection, investigation and suppression of financial and economic crimes and spoke about the active cooperation with the counterpart agencies of different countries and international organizations. “Protecting the country's economic security contributes to the creation of a healthy business and investment environment in the country. Promotion of economic development, fight against financial and economic crimes, in general, is significantly related to the successful activities of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance. That is why it is especially important to support the institutional development of the Agency, to improve the social and working conditions of the employees and to promote their professional development" - said Lasha Khutsishvili.
Head of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia – Soso Ramishvili, while presenting the annual report of the Investigation Service to the guests of the event, focused on qualification and professionalism of the employees, which led to a record amount of funds mobilized for the state budget in 2022. The head of the Investigation Service mentioned that the Service would continue active work in the future in the direction of maintaining a competitive business environment and detecting and preventing crimes committed in the financial and economic field. “I would like to emphasize that the main statistical data determining the effectiveness of the activity of the Service have reached the highest record levels during the 19-year existence of the Investigation Service. Such an achievement is the merit of each and every employee of the Investigation Service” - said Soso Ramishvili.
The Minister of Finance and the Head of the Investigation Service, for exemplary performance and professionalism, awarded the employees with early ranks and certificates of appreciation.
