As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained three persons on the fact of manufacturing and using forged tax document and misappropriation of the property by deceit, in large quantities.
Investigation revealed, that the accused persons created false documents, as if they were having a use of 600 m2 land plot in Mtskheta district. With the participation of false witnesses, a forged protocol was drawn up, confirming the legal ownership of the mentioned land plot. Later, using forged document, the land plot was registered in the name of one of the persons.
According to the expertise, the value of the illegally acquired land estimates GEL 36 000.
Appropriate procedures are underway in order to return the land to the state ownership.
Investigation is underway under the third part of article 180 and second part of article 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
