Memorandum on Strategic Partnership and Cooperation was signed between Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, in an online format. It was signed by the Head of Investigation Service - Soso Ramishvili and the Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine - Vadim Melnik.
The Memorandum between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Ukraine envisages bilateral cooperation in detecting, preventing and investigating crimes committed in the financial-economic sphere. Head of the Investigation Service - Soso Ramishvili noted “A memorandum was signed between Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the Ukrainian counterpart agency. I am glad that despite such a difficult situation, our agencies have not stopped communicating and we have managed to formalize the already established professional relations. I hope that our relationship will continue in the future and will be productive for the agencies of the both countries”. Head of the Investigation Service expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased, expressed his sincere support and solidarity to Ukrainian colleagues and people.
Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine - Vadim Melnik said “Establishing cooperation with foreign partners is one of the priority tasks being faced by the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine today. Communication, exchange of information and attraction of foreign experience will be useful in fulfilling the main tasks of the Bureau. Signing the memorandum with the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia is the first important step towards attracting international experience, especially in a difficult situation and identifying new risks for the economies of both countries. Consolidation of our partnership will definitely be mutually beneficial and effective“.
At the online meeting, in order to enhance future cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries, discussions were held on specific areas of their activities.
