As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out during the current year, criminal liability was imposed on 47 entrepreneurs, accused in illegal entrepreneurial activities by representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia

Investigation determined that 23 accused persons were carrying out commercial activities without mandatory state registration; 20 entrepreneurs were conducting gambling business without auxiliary permissions, 2 accused persons were selling drugs with violation of the rules of authorization and license, 2 entrepreneurs were obtaining inert materials with violation of the licensing rules.

At the current stage, investigative activities are in progress, in order to detect and expose other individuals committing the above mentioned types of crime.

Investigation is underway under the first and second parts of Article 192 of the Criminal Code of Georgia which envisages imprisonment from 3 to 5 years.
