Investigation service actively continues carrying out activities in order to expose possible crime committed during the process of implementation of infrastructural projects throughout Georgia.

As a result of activities carried out during the current year, criminal liability was imposed on 19 entrepreneurs on the facts of misappropriation of State property.

Investigation determined that in the documents registering the work fulfilled during the working process, entrepreneurs were artificially expanding the volumes of works to be fulfilled, thus illegally receiving money from the State budget.

Damage to the State budget, caused by the above mentioned criminal activities exceeds GEL 350 000.

 

It has to be noted that, during the investigation process the damage was partially reimbursed by entrepreneurs equaling the sum of GEL 100 000.
