As a result of coordinated activities with representatives of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia exposed three facts of storage and transportation of excisable alcoholic beverages without excise marks in a large quantity.

Representatives of the Investigation Service in Kvemo Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti took large number of various unexcised alcoholic beverages such as Cognac and Vodka from the car of accused persons. Overall market value of the goods seized exceeds GEL 17 000.

Investigation is underway under first and second parts of article 200 of Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisage imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.
