As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Samtskhe-Javakheti Division of the Investigation Department of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, on the fact exceeding official powers detained head of Samtskhe-Javakheti Division of the Regional Management Department of LEPL Veterans’ Affairs State Service.

Investigation determined that the accused person, in order to receive illegal material benefit, neglecting the legitimate interests of the state, rented to a citizen the office space of the LEPL Veterans’ Affairs State Service located in Akhaltsikhe, in exchange of which received GEL 1 000 and was arrested while receiving the amount. 

Investigation is underway under the first part of Article 333 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment up to 3 years.
