Investigation Service has prevented illegal transfer of especially large amount of goods through the custom’s border
As a result of operative-searching activities and investigative activities, Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance together with employees of the Custom’s Department of the Revenue Service arrested one person on the fact of violation of the custom’s rules.

The investigation found out, that the person was trying to transfer especially large amount of goods subject to declaring, from the custom’s territory of Georgia through the customs checkpoint "Sarpi" with violation of the custom’s procedure. From the hidden cargoes arranged in the car, 700 stocks mobile phone and 500 watches have been detected with the total value of GEL 19 800.

Investigation is underway under the article 214 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 5 and to 7 years.
