As a result of investigative-searching and operational activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance have detained a citizen of the Republic of Turkey on the fact of selling forged money.

Investigation revealed that the accused person imported 6 units of forged 500 Euro banknotes in the amount of 3000 Euros from the Republic of Turkey to the region of Shida Kartli.

Investigation is underway under the first part of the article 212 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 7 years.
