Investigation Service has arrested four persons for storing and transporting goods without excise

On the basis of operative-searching and investigative activities conducted by the employees of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, a group of four persons has been arrested for storing and transporting large amount of excisable goods without excise marks in the three regions of Georgia - Kvemo Kartli, Samegrelo and Adjara.

 

As a result of the investigative actions, a total of 3,970 packs of various brands of cigarettes subjected for sale have been removed.

 

The investigation is in progress under the article 200, part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.


Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia regularly continues to detect the facts of transportation and realization of excisable goods without excise marks throughout the country.
