As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi Division of Investigation Department of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, exposed two facts of falsification of meat products and imposed criminal liability on the head of two companies: R.T and K.K.

Investigation determined that accused persons, while producing meat products, in order to raise the quantity and receive illegal material benefit, intended to reduce the cost of production and replace ingredients necessary for production with other cheaper ones. 

According to the expertise act, total weight of moist, fat, protein and energetic value of falsified products did not match with the ingredients given on an etiquette.

Investigation is underway under the first part of article 197 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 1 to 3 years.
