As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, imposed criminal liability on one entrepreneur on the fact of misappropriation of the state-owned money, using forged documents.

Investigation determined that in 2018, the accused person won the state tender, under the terms of this tender he had to supply one of the kindergartens in Samegrelo region with 200 m3 of firewood. In order to receive illegal income, the accused person artificially increased volume of firewood in delivery and acceptance act, and instead of actual 74 m3 of firewood delivered to the kindergarten, received payment for 200 m3 of firewood. In such a manner, the accused person deceitfully received GEL 7 768 of the state money.

Investigation is underway under the second part of article 180, first part of article 210 and the second part of article 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisage imprisonment from 4 to 7 years.
