As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, detained two persons on the fact of deceitful attempt of misappropriation of another person’s property, with prior agreement, by group of people.

Investigation determined that the accused persons, having deceitful intensions, contacted one of the socially unprotected citizens, and assured him, that in case of paying GEL 5000, with the help of high level official of Tbilisi Mayor’s office, they could arrange to give him a living apartment into his ownership. With above mentioned criminal intension, the accused persons asked and took part of money (GEL 1000) from the citizen in advance, this is when they were arrested.

Investigation is underway, under second part of article 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 7 years.
