As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance Georgia detained one person on the fact of producing and selling a large amount of forged excise marks.
Investigation determined that the accused person produced and sold a large amount of forged excise marks for cigarette goods for the purpose of obtaining unlawful material benefits.
As a result of investigative activities, 1 545 excise marks, excise stamp printing computer equipment and appropriate technical equipment have been ceased from detained person.
Investigation is underway under the second part of article 2001 of Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.
