As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two persons were arrested on the fact of commercial bribery.

Investigation determined that, in Samtskhe-Javakheti region, director and employee of an agricultural market being registered on the balance of the municipality, in order to receive illegal income, have taken GEL 1000 from one of the citizens in return for renting a space on the territory of the market, without signing an agreement.

Investigation is underway under the fourth part of Article 221 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.
