As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia arrested representative of LEPL National Food Agency of Georgia and head of a slaughter-house functioning in Imereti region on producing and selling forged documents, bribery and abuse of authority.
Investigation has determined that the accused persons, having financial interest, with prior agreement, produced forged documents, in return they received money as a bribe. According to those forged documentation, which certified as if that cattle was slaughtered in above mentioned slaughter-house, forged veterinary certificate on inspection of production was issued.
Investigation is underway under the first part of articles 338,341,362 and third part of article 221 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
