As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, imposed criminal liability on the head of a company on the fact of falsification of meat products.

Investigation determined that the accused person, which was the head of one of the companies in Kobuleti municipality, was producing falsified meat products with changed characteristics in the enterprise owned by him. According to the expertise act, product ingredients did not match with the ingredients given on an etiquette, finished product had a low volume of fat, protein and total weight of mince, as well as its energetic value.

Investigation is underway under the first part of article 197 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 1 to 3 years.
