Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia is conducting an Investigation on the fact of forgery cash receipts of one of the micro-credit companies.
During the civil dispute between a micro-credit company and a citizen, 6 cash receipts were submitted to the court, proving that the above mentioned citizen has payed money to the company. Investigation determined that two of six cash receipts were forged.
In order to define objective truth on the case, during the investigation process, questioning of all of the individuals involved in the case, including attorneys, became necessary. On April 28 of the current year, one out of three attorneys invited to Investigation Service for questioning under the status of witness voluntarily gave information known to him to the Investigation while two of them rejected to answer questions.
At this stage, investigation is underway under “b” sub-close of second part of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
