DEPUTY HEAD OF INVESTIGATION SERVICE OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE OF GEORGIA ATTEDNED WORKSHOP OF GRADUATES OF INTERNATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY

DEPUTY HEAD OF INVESTIGATION SERVICE OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE OF GEORGIA ATTEDNED WORKSHOP OF GRADUATES OF INTERNATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY

Deputy Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Mr. Vazha Panozishvili, attended the workshop of 2017-2018 years’ graduates of International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) organized by Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of a US State Department.

 

The event was opened by a Director of Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Mr. Michael McKane and Director of International Law Enforcement Academy, Ms. Suzan Ostrobinski.

 

During the meeting, Deputy Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia expressed his gratitude to US Embassy in Georgia and Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs for cooperation and support in participation of representatives of Investigation Service in important trainings and learning courses.

 

“Cooperation with International Law Enforcement Academy gives us an opportunity: to increase qualification of employees of Investigation Service, to implement the higher standard of investigation of economic crimes and to share international experience. These are one of the priority directions for our service.  International trainings are productive and gives a lot to each participant. It is precious for us to share investigation methods of financial-economic crime on the examples of United States of America; get known to corresponding methods and technologies of fighting against corruption in court, law enforcing authorities, border and penitentiary institutions; , methods and approaches in fighting against financial crime;

 

Share practice implemented by colleague authorities in everyday work; Analyze gaps and positive sides of our practice. I hope that we will actively continue the cooperation with Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of US State Department, and sharing of experience in terms of crimes committed in the field of financial-economic crime.” – Mr. Vazha Panozishvili stated.

 

Representatives of General Prosecutor’s Office, State Security Service, Anti-corruption Agency, Academy of Ministry of Internal Affairs, Central Criminal Police Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs and Emergency Management Service attended the event together with representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. The event was held in “Biltmore” Hotel Tbilisi.
