In order to inform the public, I would like to respond to the deliberately distorted information repeatedly voiced by Levan Khabeishvili at the parliamentary session yesterday, June 11, regarding the real estate owned by my family.
I would like to mention, that for the purpose of discrediting both the state agency and the person, L. Khabeishvili has repeatedly spread similar deliberately distorted "facts" on TV. The member of the parliament has never expressed a desire to be guided by my (properly published and official) declaration on both income and real estate and verify the authenticity of the information.
I urge Mr. Khabeishvili that, if he is really interested in my income or real estate owned by my family, to address publicly available information, where there is a detailed information on when and with what sources I have purchased the property.
Also, it is very easy to verify that one of the houses and the pool attached to 50% of the land printed in the photos is the property of a foreign citizen, which can be validated from the data of the Public Registry.
In yesterday's speech, Khabeishvili tried to cast a shadow over the efficiency and good faith of the Investigation Service staff. The quality of the work of our Agency is most clearly shown by the numbers of detected criminal facts. I have been the head of this Agency since 2018 and from that same period the Service has been actively involved in detecting and investigating the facts of creating forged VAT asset, most of the cases have been sent to court. It would not have been difficult for the member of the parliament to find this information, if he truly wished to establish the facts and see the reality. Finally, I would like to remind Mr. Khabeishvili that the status of a member of parliament implies more responsibility and good faith, if not towards the society, towards his voters at least.
Soso Ramishvili - Head of Investigation Service
