As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia have arrested one person on the fact of storing and selling forged money.

Investigation determined that the accused person has sold forged GEL 100 banknotes in Samegrelo region, with total amount of GEL 18 000. As a result of investigative activities, additionally 11 units of forged GEL 100 banknotes prepared for selling were seized.

Investigation is underway under the second part of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 7 to 10 years.
